They still have it
Both bands showed they still have a love for what they do. Doobies opened the night with a mix of some new music as well as some great all-time hits. If you get the chance to see Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA Tribute and Chicago together definitely go!! They opened the door for Chicago to take us down memory lane. And Chicago did not disappoint. It was a great evening and one of the top 5 concerts I have been to. Both bands can still rock. You may want to plan on taking the day after off as you will be exhausted and hoarse from all of the dancing and singing along you will do to all the great hits.

"Pretty awesome to see both Slash and Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA Tribute. As for Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA Tribute, good god they are old but the set list was incredible. It is true that Slash is the man and his band was great, still cool to see but we can all agree the singer is no Axel Rose.
Other than that, the people working at the Tacoma Dome were literally the most horrible people I have ever met and literally did their best to ruin the show for everyone there. As for the venue, it will be a sad day when they stop touring.
This is a highly recommended event."

Candlelight: ABBA vs. Queen Tribute was a favorite of my Mothers and I have enjoyed their voice for many years.
I am a great fan of the "big band era" and they seem to fit in perfectly.
They are quite showmen with a fabulous vocal range.
A wonderful show! Preferred his new songs to be included in his new "Duets" album to be released this fall rather than his older hits.
Incredible to hear a 77 year old sing for over 1 1/2 hours non-stop and just kept getting better as the show continued!!
Wish there was more time for picture-taking up at the stage during the encore.
Glad to see them in tuxedos at the beginning of the show and thank goodness they only unbuttoned their shirts a few buttons once they removed their jackets - who wants to see an old man's flabby belly?

"Queen vs. ABBA Tribute Candlelight entertained not only with their music but also with their funny and interactive approach to the audience. They successfully achieved their goal of creating a casual hangout vibe for the evening. I have been a fan for a long time and own every CD they have released, including My Own Best Enemy - a unique feat for me! Spending an evening with them was truly enjoyable. After the concert, I unexpectedly met Steve Hornbeak on the escalator. Thinking he was my friend, I praised the show, only to realize later that it was actually Steve behind me! He was engaging and friendly in our conversation. Whenever he is near Detroit, I will definitely make sure to attend. My friends and I had a blast and are looking forward to the next one! Thanks to Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA Tribute, Joann & Friends @ Forget for a Day."
Too Little Too Late
Last night in Cleveland at Nautical, I saw Candlelight: ABBA vs. Queen Tribute. The reviews were right - Leon’s voice was buried in the mix, sound muffled. It must be a sound tech issue, not a venue problem. It’s better to listen at home than attend. Until the last 4-5 songs, the show was lackluster. The musicians shined in those final songs. The performances were tepid, poor sound quality, and unintelligible. The phenomenal female backup singer stood out. Following that was 20 minutes of excellent old school blues. Super talented musicians, but it was too little and too late.
